Job summary

Ambition in Gelang Patah, Johor is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to support plant reliability and performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role covers electrical maintenance, HT/MV/LV/ELV systems, switchgear and motors, preventive maintenance, budgeting, CAPEX, and safety compliance.

Applicants should hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or related, with 3–5 years of hands-on experience; PLC/automation familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of HT/MV/LV/ELV systems, switchgear, breakers, and motors.
• Food/beverage manufacturing background is advantageous.
• Familiarity with PLC, automation, or instrumentation systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day electrical maintenance and plant operations to maximise uptime.
• Maintaining, inspecting, and troubleshooting HT, MV, LV, and ELV systems, switchgear, and motors.
• Driving preventive maintenance programmes to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Managing maintenance budgets, resources, and CAPEX proposals.
• Overseeing scheduled servicing, testing, and calibration of plant electrical equipment.
• Providing technical engineering support to improve safety, efficiency, and productivity.
• Ensuring all activities meet safety, food safety, GMP, and Halal compliance standards.
