The successful candidate will perform inspections, diagnose faults, and implement corrective actions while maintaining comprehensive maintenance records and adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of equipment maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Proficient in preventative and corrective maintenance
• Able to read technical drawings, blueprints and manuals

About the role

RIFENG MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team in Klang, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety and reliability of our manufacturing and operational equipment. The Equipment Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing and overseeing maintenance activities across our facilities, contributing directly to production efficiency and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced industrial equipment whilst developing expertise in preventative and corrective maintenance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational performance
• Diagnosing equipment faults and failures, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective maintenance solutions
• Performing repairs, replacements and adjustments to equipment components, utilising appropriate tools and technical knowledge
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive maintenance schedules and documentation to track equipment status and maintenance history
• Collaborating with production teams to minimise downtime and schedule maintenance activities in alignment with production planning
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards during all maintenance operations
• Assisting with the procurement of spare parts and maintenance materials, liaising with suppliers as required
• Providing technical support and guidance to junior maintenance staff or team members as needed
• Conducting equipment performance analysis and recommending improvements or upgrades to enhance efficiency

What we’re looking for

• A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or relevant technical certification in equipment maintenance
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of preventative and corrective maintenance methodologies and best practices
• Proficiency in using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance planning tools
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve technical problems efficiently
• Competency in reading technical drawings, blueprints and equipment manuals
• Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance priorities simultaneously
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with production and management teams
• Valid driving licence is advantageous for attending multiple sites or supplier visits
