Job summary

Taiko Drum Industries Sdn Bhd in Melaka is seeking an Electrical & Electronic Engineering Executive to plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for production machines, electrical and electronic systems, and factory utilities. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related field with 2–5 years of manufacturing experience.

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for production machines, electrical and electronic systems, and factory utilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, PLC and automation-related issues to minimize machine downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity, reliability and efficiency.
• Coordinate machine installation, commissioning, modification and improvement projects.
• Ensure electrical and electronic systems comply with company standards, safety regulations and statutory requirements.
• Prepare maintenance schedules, engineering reports and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely completion of projects and maintenance activities.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and recommend replenishment when necessary.
• Support ISO, GMP, HACCP and customer audits.
• Participate in continuous improvement, cost reduction and energy-saving initiatives.
• Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Job Responsibilities

To plan, coordinate and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for production machines, electrical and electronic systems, and factory utilities.

Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, PLC and automation-related issues to minimize machine downtime.

To monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity, reliability and efficiency.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of PLC, inverter, motors, sensors and industrial automation.

Familiar with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.

Good troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Able to read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings/schematics.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Possession of a Chargeman Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga will be an added advantage.

Position to be based in Melaka.
