Job summary

HKSM Sports Sdn. Bhd. is building a new manufacturing facility in Malaysia and seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician / Engineer to ensure reliability of production machinery and facility infrastructure.

The role covers preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment installation, and facility upkeep while supporting expansion projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as Technician or 5 years as Engineer in manufacturing maintenance.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Willing to support emergency breakdown maintenance and startup projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, SMETA, or EHS requirements is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Maintain production machinery and factory facilities through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to maximize equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician / Engineer is responsible for maintaining production equipment, utilities, and factory facilities to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. This role will perform preventive maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting, equipment installation, facility maintenance, and continuous improvement while supporting factory expansion projects.

Key Responsibilities

Machinery Maintenance

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment failures.

Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and minimize production downtime.

Install, commission, and relocate production equipment when required.

Maintain maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and service reports.

Facility Maintenance

Maintain factory facilities including electrical systems, air compressors, water supply, lighting, HVAC, fire protection systems, and building infrastructure.

Coordinate maintenance and servicing of utilities and facility equipment.

Monitor facility conditions and recommend improvements.

Preventive Maintenance

Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules.

Improve machine reliability through predictive and preventive maintenance activities.

Monitor equipment performance and analyze recurring failures.

Support machine modification and process improvement projects.

Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve equipment efficiency.

Participate in factory expansion and new equipment installation.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company procedures.

Maintain 5S standards within the maintenance workshop.

Support ISO 9001, SMETA, and EHS compliance activities.

Who We’re Looking For

Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field.

Minimum 2 years (Technician) or 5 years (Engineer) of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Experience with preventive maintenance and machine troubleshooting.

Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently.

Willing to support emergency breakdown maintenance when required.

Experience in manufacturing or factory startup projects.

Knowledge of PLC, sensors, inverters, servo motors, and automation systems.

Experience with air compressors, chillers, HVAC, and facility utilities.

Welding, fabrication, or machining experience is an advantage.

Familiar with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement.

Knowledge of ISO 9001, SMETA, or EHS requirements is an advantage.
