Job summary

TDK-Lambda Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes at our Senai, Johor facility. You will apply technical expertise to drive continuous improvement and support production with process troubleshooting and layout design.

The role requires strong problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. Fresh graduates are welcome, and the team focuses on safe, efficient production with ongoing upgrade projects.

Qualifications

• Provide technical supports to production in yield & quality improvement programs.
• Troubleshooting, corrective and preventive actions to improve quality levels.
• Plan and coordinate a small group of process technicians across engineering functions.
• Ensure safe operation of machines to prevent production losses.
• Initiate sourcing of new materials, equipment or tools to enhance capabilities.
• Contribute to improvements projects affecting departmental functions.
• Design and commission production layouts, line and process configurations.
• Support proto/pilot runs and design reviews for new/current products.
• Generate and control manufacturing drawings and specifications.
• Create process parameters and machine settings with proper documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ability to plan and coordinate a small group of process Technicians in all engineering aspects covered by the department.

• Initiate sourcing activities of new materials, equipment, or tool in enhancing production capabilities.
• Actively involved and contributes to any improvements projects that relates to departmental functions.
• Design and commissioning of all activities pertaining to production layout, line & process configurations of current or new production line.
• Responsibly in ensuring the successfulness of proto / pilot run as well as design reviews of any new or current products.
• Generate, maintain and control of all manufacturing drawing and other required specifications that relates to departmental functions.
• Generate all process parameters and machine setting, follow with implementation by using appropriate check sheet / documentation.

About the role We are seeking a talented Process Engineer to join our team at TDK-Lambda Malaysia Sdn Bhd. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimising and streamlining our manufacturing processes at our Senai, Johor facility. This full-time position will allow you to apply your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement within our operations.

What we’re looking for

• Degree holder in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Industrial, Mechanical engineering or equivalent fields.
• 1- 2 years’ experience in project coordination and production support for electronic manufacturing.
• Knowledgeable in Bill of material and generation of production drawing and ISO procedures.
• Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings, design principles, and technical terminology.
• Experience in CAD drafting (2D or 3D).
• Knowledgeable in process control activities such as quality monitoring tools of TQM, SPC and etc.
• Experience in NPI, Process Improvement or Assembly/Testing of Electronic assembly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer operation.
• Experience in SMT reflow or wave soldering.
• Experience in Electronic Testing and electrical instruments can also be considered.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Familiarity with production equipment, instrumentation, and quality control techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams for Project management & teamwork.
• Fresh graduate with good qualification will be considered as well.
