Job summary

CKD Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a responsible and proactive EHS Coordinator to support the implementation and continuous improvement of our Environment, Health and Safety programmes at our Kulim Hi-Tech Park facility.

You will work closely with the EHS team, management, employees and contractors to ensure compliance with applicable occupational safety, health and environmental requirements and to promote a strong safety culture across the workplace.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in safety, health or environment.
  • 2–4 years of EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian DOSH/JKKP regulations.
  • Experience in workplace inspections, HIRARC, incident investigations and safety documentation.
  • Strong communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of the Company's EHS policies, procedures and programmes.
  • Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, conditions and hazards.
  • Assist in HIRARC and risk assessment activities and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA, DOSH/JKKP and other EHS requirements.
  • Assist in incident, accident and near-miss investigations and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Coordinate safety training, toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
  • Maintain EHS records, reports and inspection checklists.
  • Assist in monitoring contractor and visitor compliance with site safety requirements.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities and drills.
  • Assist in environmental management activities and waste handling.

Job description

The successful candidate will work closely with the EHS team, management, employees and contractors to ensure compliance with applicable occupational safety, health and environmental requirements and to promote a strong safety culture across the workplace.

Key responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of the Company's EHS policies, procedures and programmes.

  • Assist in HIRARC and risk assessment activities and follow up on recommended control measures.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable OSHA, DOSH/JKKP and other relevant EHS requirements.
  • Assist in incident, accident and near-miss investigations and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate safety training, toolbox meetings, safety briefings and awareness programmes.
  • Maintain proper EHS records, reports, inspection checklists and related documentation.
  • Assist in monitoring contractor and visitor compliance with site safety requirements.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities, including emergency response drills and related programmes.
  • Assist in environmental management activities, including scheduled waste and other relevant environmental requirements.
About you
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial or semiconductor environment.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety and health requirements and relevant DOSH/JKKP regulations.
  • Experience in workplace inspection, HIRARC, incident investigation and safety documentation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with employees at different levels.
  • Able to work independently and take initiative in identifying and resolving EHS issues.
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
