Job summary

SIBS Sdn Bhd in Penang invites applications for an In-charge / Initiate role to drive Environmental, Safety and Health activities across the factory. You will respond to accidents, investigate incidents and implement preventive actions to avoid re-occurrence.

You will review and amend ESH procedures, ensure 5S compliance, and oversee fire safety. The role requires strong training, supervision and motivation of staff to uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Environmental/Health/Safety engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in ESH in manufacturing environments.
• Preferably in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety, Junior Executive level.

Responsibilities

• In-charge of initiating and leading the company's Environmental, Safety and Health activities.
• Respond to, investigate and report all workplace accidents or injuries; implement prevention steps.
• Review and amend Health, Safety and Environmental procedures as appropriate.
• Ensure 5S compliance throughout the facility.
• Oversee fire safety and protection of the factory.
• Monitor ESH documentation and data; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Educate, train, supervise and motivate employees to work safely and responsibly.
• Assist in ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education

Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental/Health/Safety Engineering

Job description

In-charge / Initiate of the Company's Environmental, Safety and Health activities.

Responding, investigating and report on all accidents or injuries occur in the workplace. Also take necessary steps to prevent re-occurrence.

Review and amend Health, Safety and Environmental procedures as appropriate.

Complying to 5S regulations.

Responsible for ensuring Fire Safety / Protection of the factory.

Oversee and review environmental, health and safety documentation and data

Monitoring of all relevant health, safety and environmental requirements and ensuring all requirements are complied with governments regulations.

To educate train, supervision and motivate employees to conduct activities in safe, environmentally, responsible and proactive manner and to ensure policies are observed by the management and staff.

Assist in other ad-hoc duties as and when assign by superior.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.

Good knowledge in ESH Regulations specifically OSHA 1994 & FMA 1967.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English

At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the ESH.

Working in Manufacturing Environment is preferred,

Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent.
