Job summary

Leschaco (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Bandar Bukit Raja, Selangor is seeking an Import Operations Executive to support our import workflows and ensure shipments are processed smoothly.

You will handle pre-alerts, documents, invoicing, and data entry in ABS and EDI/K4, coordinating with agents and field staff. The role requires 1–2 years in import operations, strong attention to detail, good communication, and proficiency with logistics software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in import operations, customs clearance or related role.
• Good knowledge of import documentation, customs regulations and clearance procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers, agents and internal teams.
• Proficient in relevant software and systems used for import/customs operations.
• Flexible and adaptable to changes in processes and procedures.
• A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Receive pre-alerts and shipping documents and create jobs in ABS.
• Upload pre-alerts and documents into the ABS Archive.
• Prepare and book invoices, including supporting documents, and ensure costs are booked on time.
• Check shipment ETA, update customers, and request arrival notices, freight invoices and DG lists.
• Prepare payment vouchers for local charges.
• Prepare LOI/LOA/LOU and forward them for release of EDO/IID.
• Follow up with shipping/freight agents to ensure timely release of documents.
• Coordinate and delegate jobs to field operation clerks for document collection/dispatch.
• Notify customers of shipment arrival and charges.
• Follow up on container deposits and returns.
• Assist in preparing customs manifests and/or declarations, including data entry into EDI/K4 systems.
• Assist in preparing Delivery Orders for LCL trucking and Gate Pass issuance.
• Coordinate with hauliers for timely pull-out of containers.
• Maintain shipment data including ATA and milestones in ABS.
• Provide relief support to Operations/Documentation personnel during absences.
• Maintain good relationships with customers and third parties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
