Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a DWDM Engineer/Technician to install, configure, and maintain optical transport systems ensuring high-performance network connectivity. You will work with NOC and field technicians to implement upgrades and resolve transmission issues.

The role requires hands-on DWDM experience, proficiency with OTDR/OSA, and strong attention to detail. Travel to sites and on-call support are expected to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a technical diploma or bachelor degree in electronics, telecom, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience installing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic and DWDM systems.
• Familiar with optical test equipment such as OTDR, OSA, and power meters.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain DWDM network equipment including multiplexers, amplifiers, and transponders.
• Perform comprehensive testing using OSA, OTDR, and optical power meters.
• Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve complex optical transmission issues.
• Create and maintain accurate network documentation and service reports.
• Collaborate with network engineers, NOC, and field technicians for upgrades.
• Provide technical support and escalate as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols when working with high-voltage lines and confined spaces.
