Job summary

Ennets Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior OSP/ISP Fiber Project Engineer to lead end-to-end delivery of FTTx projects in Malaysia, from field surveys to client acceptance, combining OSP and ISP fiber expertise on-site. You will supervise implementation teams, coordinate with clients and authorities, perform OTDR testing, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across Johor and nearby areas.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and MS Office is essential, with travel as required and own

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years' hands-on experience in OSP/ISP fiber optic network projects (FTTx/FTTH).
• Strong knowledge of fiber network design, splicing, testing (OTDR, power meter), and civil/duct works.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, BOQs, and network survey reports.
• Experience managing project implementations from survey to client acceptance.
• Familiarity with local telco/utility requirements and regulatory approvals in Malaysia.
• Strong stakeholder management skills; able to liaise directly with clients.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, GIS tools, and MS Office/Project.
• Willing to travel for site visits within Johor and surrounding regions.
• Possession of own transport (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys for FTTx/OSP/ISP projects, including route planning and feasibility.
• Prepare proposals, network designs, BOQs, and cost estimates.
• Oversee OSP infrastructure: ducts, cabling, splicing, civil works.
• Oversee ISP infrastructure: in-building cabling and terminations.
• Manage contractors to meet design, quality, and schedules.
• Perform OTDR testing and resolve issues during execution.
• Lead client acceptance testing and handover with as-built docs.
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, and utilities for permits.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, risks, and delays proactively.
• Mentor junior engineers and site technicians.

We are seeking an experienced Senior OSP/ISP Fiber Project Engineer to lead end-to-end delivery of FTTx projects, from initial technical survey through to network acceptance with clients. This role requires strong technical expertise across both Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) fiber infrastructure, and the ability to manage implementation teams and stakeholders on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical site surveys (TSS) for FTTx/OSP/ISP projects, including route planning, feasibility assessment, and civil works evaluation
• Prepare technical proposals, network designs, BOQs, and cost estimations based on survey findings
• Plan and oversee OSP infrastructure implementation: duct/manhole works, aerial and underground cabling, splicing, and civil coordination
• Plan and oversee ISP infrastructure implementation: in-building cabling, riser/horizontal distribution, ODF/FDF termination, and equipment installation
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is delivered per design, quality standards, and timelines
• Perform quality checks, OTDR testing, and troubleshooting throughout project execution
• Lead client-facing acceptance testing (UAT) and handover, ensuring documentation (as-built drawings, test reports) meets client requirements
• Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, and utility owners for approvals, way-leave, and permits
• Identify and resolve technical issues, project risks, and delays proactively
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies
• Mentor junior engineers and site technicians

Requirements
