Job Title: Draughtsman / Draftsperson / Drafter

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Draughtsman / Draftsperson / Drafter for our client located in Petaling Jaya. You will be responsible for translating design concepts, sketches, and mood boards into precise technical drawings, construction details, and layout plans. Your work will bridge the gap between creative design and actual site construction, ensuring that contractors and project managers can execute the designs flawlessly.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Drawing: Prepare detailed 2D/3D layout plans, elevations, sections, and detailed joinery/carpentry drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.

Design Revision: Amend and update drawings based on feedback from Interior Designers, clients, or site site-measurement variations.

Material Specification: Coordinate with designers to specify dimensions, materials, and production methods on the drawings.

Site Coordination: Visit project sites as and when required to take precise site measurements and verify that construction aligns with the approved drawings.

Document Management: Maintain an organized digital archive of all drawing revisions, blueprints, and project documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in Architectural/Interior Design Draughting, Interior Design, or a related field.

Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., 3ds Max, SketchUp, InteriCAD, or Revit) is a strong advantage.

Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of interior construction methods, local Malaysian building codes, material applications, and joinery details.

Mobility: Must be able to attend site visits (possession of own transport like a car or motorcycle is highly preferred).

Experience: Minimum 5 years of working experience in interior design or architectural industry

Language: Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
