Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carrying out drafting work and ensuring project drawings are produced on schedule.
• Prepare project drawings as requested and in accordance with company standards.
• Update drawings per procedures and incorporate feedback from architects and engineers.
• Maintain version control and organize drawing files for procurement and execution.
• Prepare material lists, schedules, and specification documents to support construction.
• Support site surveys, measurements, and documentation as required.

About the role

JEB Group is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Drafter to join our construction team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position based on-site in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a Drafter, you will play a crucial role in translating design concepts and architectural visions into precise technical drawings and documentation. Your work will be fundamental to the successful execution of our construction projects, ensuring that all plans are accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with industry standards and local regulations. Candidates with a background in office furniture will have an advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Carrying out drafting work and to ensure that project drawings are produced with quality and on schedule
• Prepare project drawings as requested
• Prepare project drawings in accordance with the Company’s standard for documentation
• update drawings in accordance with procedures
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Maintain consistency with project standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements across all documentation
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to clarify design intent and resolve technical issues
• Organize and manage drawing files, ensuring proper version control and document management
• Prepare material lists, schedules, and specification documents to support construction procurement and execution
• Support the team with site surveys, measurements, and documentation as required
• Ensure all drawings are properly labelled, dimensioned, and annotated for clarity and ease of interpretation
• Ensure detail drawings in accordance with quotation

What we’re looking for

• Strong understanding of construction documentation standards, building codes, and local Malaysian building regulations
• Knowledge of architectural and engineering design principles, materials, and construction methodologies
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise drawings under deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and architectural plans accurately
• Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve drawing inconsistencies and design conflicts
• Previous experience in construction drafting, architectural firms, or engineering consultancies is highly desirable
