About the role
We are seeking an Architectural Draughtsperson to join our team on a full-time basis at our office located in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur. This is a key position within our design and documentation team, where you will play a crucial role in translating architectural concepts into precise technical drawings and specifications. You will support the architectural team in producing high-quality construction documentation that guides the realisation of our design vision on site. This role is essential to ensuring that our projects are delivered to the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings including plans, elevations, sections and details using CAD software and other design tools
- Convert conceptual sketches and design briefs provided by architects into comprehensive technical drawings
- Assist in the development of construction documentation packages, including specifications and schedules
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across all drawings, maintaining adherence to architectural standards and building regulations
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and other design team members to refine drawings and resolve technical issues
- Maintain and update project drawings as design changes occur throughout the design development process
- Prepare presentation drawings and visualisations to communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders
- Manage drawing files and project documentation in accordance with office standards and procedures
- Support the coordination of drawings with structural, mechanical and other engineering disciplines
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of drawing standards and office procedures
What we're looking for
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related design discipline
- Proficiency in professional CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Revit or similar) with demonstrated competency in 2D and 3D drawing production
- Strong understanding of architectural conventions, drawing standards and building regulations relevant to Malaysia
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, precise and well-coordinated drawings
- Good spatial reasoning and the ability to visualise three-dimensional design solutions from two-dimensional documentation
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues across disciplines
- Organised approach to work with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Professional approach and commitment to continuous learning and professional developme
- Experience producing presentation materials and visualisations is advantageous
