Job summary

AK Designpro Sdn Bhd is a Penang-based top project management company seeking a Senior Architectural Draughtsman to support high-rise projects through accurate drawing production, coordination with consultants and contractors, and strict document control.

The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of architectural draughting experience, strong AutoCAD and Revit/BIM skills, and the ability to lead junior staff while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant architectural draughting experience.
• Mandatory proven experience working on high-rise building projects.
• Strong AutoCAD capability with the ability to produce accurate, buildable and well-coordinated drawings.
• Good working knowledge of Revit and BIM processes; production-level Revit experience will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of architectural construction documentation and drawing coordination across multiple disciplines.
• Able to check large volumes of drawings quickly, systematically and accurately with minimal errors.
• Good communication and follow-up skills when working with consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to work independently under project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate architectural drawings for submission, tender, construction, coordination and as-built purposes, including plans, elevations, sections, schedules and related technical documentation.
• Coordinate architectural information with clients, C&S/structural, M&E, interior design, landscape, façade, QS, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and specialist consultants.
• Review multidisciplinary drawings to identify clashes, discrepancies, missing information, level differences and coordination issues, and follow up until agreed changes are incorporated.
• Check dimensions, levels, grids, annotations, revisions, drawing references, sections, elevations, details and schedules before drawings are issued or submitted.
• Apply practical high-rise experience across typical floors, podiums, basements, cores, lifts, staircases, risers, shafts, façades, wet areas, fire escape requirements and service areas.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, contractor proposals and consultant information, and assist with drawing-related site and construction coordination matters.
• Guide and support junior draughting staff in technical detailing, coordination, drawing checking and consistent drawing standards.
• Maintain CAD/Revit/BIM standards, title blocks, numbering, revisions, file naming, digital file organisation and document control.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks, manage priorities and follow through on coordination matters until completion.

AK Designpro Sdn Bhd is one of the Penang Top Project Management Company, looking for a Senior Architectural Draughtsman / Draughtsperson with proven high-rise building experience to support the preparation, coordination and quality control of architectural drawings across project stages. This role will suit a technically strong drafter who can work independently, coordinate confidently with consultants and contractors, and maintain a high standard of speed, accuracy and document control.

Key responsibilities
