Shan Poornam Metals Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a capable AutoCAD drafter/engineer to support internal projects and document compilation. Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and drafting simple engineering layouts (buildings, mechanical drawings), coordinating with engineers, project supervisors, and site teams.

Responsibilities include assisting with on-site measurements, developing project plans with timelines, milestones, and deliverables; monitoring progress; managing budgets and resources; and promoting

• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD drafting for engineering layouts.
• Ability to draft simple engineering drawings (layout) and construct project documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, project supervisors and site teams.

Responsibilities

Job description

Proficient in AutoCAD (2D) and able to draft simple engineering drawing (layout) for internal project and technical document compilation which consist of:-

Building Plan.

Mechanical drawing.

Assist in shop drawing, as-builts drawings, and submission drawings.

Coordinate with engineers, project supervisors, and site teams.

Assist for on-site measurement for project layout planning.

Assist to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Assist to develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Assist to monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary.

Assist to manage project budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation.

Assist to foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Project / Civil background or any related field preferred or experience.

Able to attend a meeting and assist in ensuring that job site is kept in safe and conducive manner.

To ensure that assigned tasks are carried out professionally, ethically and in timely manner.

To perform any other tasks as and when required and instructed by the superior or by the Management.

To assist in supervision of project work on site.
