Job summary

GENRE Professional Sdn Bhd is seeking a Drafter to assist engineers in producing construction, tender, and shop drawings for electrical and mechanical (M&E) services, with a major focus on electrical drafting work in the renewable energy sector. You will develop 2D CAD layouts and check drawings for accuracy under deadlines.

Ideal candidates have a min education in engineering or draughtsmanship and CAD proficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD is mandatory.
• Understanding of M&E symbols, schematic diagrams, and building services layout logic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical & mechanical (M&E) drawings, 2D layouts using CAD. Major in electrical drafting work.
• Develop technical drawings based on sketches and initial design concepts from engineer.
• Check and revise drawings based on instruction and comments.
• Ensure drawings are deliverable and meet management timeline schedules.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Verify drawing accuracy by checking measurements, units, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical support to internal teams during project implementation.
• Support coordination with external vendors and suppliers when required.
• Manage and update design documentation, ensuring proper records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in follow up on submission drawings for authority approvals when required.
• Support the Principal with ad-hoc work tasks.

Job description

You will assist our engineer to produce construction drawings, tender drawings, shop drawings etc for various building services majoring in renewable energy sector.

Requirements

Education: min SPM/Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Draughtsmanship.

Fresh drafter are welcome to apply.

Experience: If have 1 or 2 years (s) experiences of drafting work in the related M&E Consulting would be an added advantage.

Software Skills: proficiency in CAD is mandatory.

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of M&E symbols, schematic diagrams, and general building services layout logic, would be an added advantage.

Attitude: Sharp eye for detail, able to work under tight deadlines, and a willingness to learn new software.

Able to work independently and ability to follow instructions given.

Someone who doesn’t disappear during deadlines. Complete undertaken work milestones within the set timeline.

The work is not difficult. What we emphasize is a candidate must has responsible in work and do not disappear during deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

To check and to make revision drawings based on instruction, comments when necessary

To ensure drawings well deliverable and meet management timeline schedule.

Ensure all drawings are prepared in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.

Ensure drawing accuracy by checking measurements, units, technical specifications

Provide technical support to internal teams during project implementation.

Support coordination activities with external vendors, suppliers when required.

Manage and update design documentation, ensuring records are properly maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Assist in follow up on submission drawings for authority approvals when required.

Support the Principal with ad-hoc work tasks
