Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.

• Excellent attention to detail with precise drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software.

About the role

Best Change Renovation Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Drafter to join our Design team. This is a full-time position based in Batu Pahat, Johor. As a Drafter, you will play a crucial role in translating architectural concepts and designs into precise technical drawings and plans. Your work will be instrumental in supporting our architectural projects from conception through to construction, ensuring that all designs are accurately represented and ready for implementation.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
• Collaborate with designers to understand project requirements and design intent
• Review and update drawings based on feedback, changes and project modifications
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes and regulations
• Prepare presentation drawings and visualisations for client meetings and project proposals
• Maintain accurate documentation and filing systems for all project drawings and revisions
• Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate design elements and resolve technical issues
• Assist in site visits and surveys to gather information for accurate drafting
• Stay current with the latest CAD software developments and industry best practices

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar architectural design tools
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings
• Good spatial reasoning and visualisation skills
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Time management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines
• Experience in renovation or residential projects is preferred
