Senior Architecture Draughtperson (Hospital Projects)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Draughtsperson to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing architectural drawings for various project stages, including schematic design, design development, authority submissions, tender documentation, and construction documentation.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD, familiar with local authority submission procedures, and capable of producing accurate architectural drawings with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and prepare architectural drawings using AutoCAD for schematic design, design development, authority submissions, tender documentation, and construction documentation.

Interpret instructions from the team leader and translate design concepts and technical requirements into accurate architectural drawings.

Prepare architectural detail drawings with minimal supervision.

Liaise with local authorities and coordinate authority submission matters with relevant local councils.

Ensure drawings comply with applicable building regulations, including the Uniform Building By-Laws (UBBL), and relevant local authority requirements.

Coordinate with project team members to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and delivered within the required timelines.

Revise and update drawings based on design changes, project requirements, and authority feedback.

Requirements

Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Architecture or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of working experience in an architectural practice.

Proficient in AutoCAD.

Familiarity with UBBL and local authority submission procedures.

Ability to produce architectural detail drawings with minimal supervision.

Experience in healthcare projects will be an added advantage.

Knowledge of Photoshop, SketchUp, Lumion, or other 3D modelling and rendering software will be an added advantage.

Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Self-motivated, well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
