Job summary

DAA Design Associates Sdn Bhd, based in Johor Bahru, is seeking a Project Architect/Assistant Architect to drive architectural planning and design development from concept to completion.

You will prepare 3D visuals, drawings, and presentations, while coordinating with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure accurate, buildable designs and on-site execution.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Architecture or related field.
• Open to Assistant Architects, Architectural Designers, and Project Architects.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and design objectives with clients and teams.
• Prepare 3D visualizations, architectural drawings, and project presentations.
• Review and refine design solutions throughout project phases.
• Coordinate architectural design with interior planning and overall project requirements.
• Prepare architectural construction drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, details and schedules.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated and suitable for site execution.
• Update drawings based on approved changes and site conditions.
• Coordinate with Architects, Engineers, consultants, Interior Designers, contractors, and project teams.
• Attend design and coordination meetings as required.

Job description

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Project Architect / Assistant Architect to work closely with clients, consultants, and project teams.

You will be responsible for architectural planning, design development, construction drawings, consultant coordination, and ensuring accurate project execution from concept to completion.

Job Responsibilities

Work closely with clients and project teams to understand project requirements and design objectives.

Prepare 3D visualizations, architectural drawings, and project presentations.

Review and refine design solutions throughout different project phases.

Coordinate architectural design with interior planning and overall project requirements.

Adhere to ad hoc tasks as and when necessary or directed by superior.

Prepare architectural construction drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.

Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, practical, and suitable for site execution.

Update drawings based on approved design changes, consultant information, and site conditions.

Coordinate with Architects, Engineers, consultants, Interior Designers, contractors, and project teams.

Review consultant drawings and identify potential design or technical conflicts.

Attend design and project coordination meetings when required.

Ensure that architectural drawings, consultant information, and site execution are properly coordinated.

Construction Coordination & Execution Oversight

Work closely with the Project Implementation Department to ensure designs are accurately executed on-site.

Conduct site visits, site measurements, design reviews, and project inspections.

Identify potential design or execution issues and provide practical solutions.

Provide architectural clarification and support during the construction stage.

Requirements & Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, or related fields.

Open to Assistant Architects, Architectural Designers, and Project Architects.

Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience is preferred.

Experience in landed residential, bungalow, renovation, extension, or design-and-build projects is an advantage.

Experience in preparing architectural construction drawings is preferred.

Proficiency in CAD and 3D modelling software.

Good understanding of architectural planning, building construction, and detailing.

Good communication skills to coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
