This is a Designer role focused on jig, tooling, and production equipment design and development. You will provide technical support, develop design concepts and detailed drawings using industry-standard software, and participate hands‑on in fabrication, commissioning, and production trials. You will coordinate across teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure project alignment and timely completion.
Key responsibilities
Provide tooling knowledge and technical support for jig, tooling, and production‑related activities.
Develop design concepts, 3D models, and 2D detailed drawings for assembly jigs, tooling, and other production equipment using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CATIA.
Prepare and process assembly jig design concepts and detailed drawings for fabrication and implementation.
Monitor and follow up with Technicians on daily and weekly work arrangements to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of assigned tasks.
Communicate and coordinate with customers, suppliers, and related departments to ensure proper alignment, effective collaboration, and timely completion of projects.
Participate hands‑on in jig fabrication, setting, tuning, commissioning, and production trials according to approved drawings and requirements.
Conduct worker training on assembly jig usage and production trial activities, including monitoring and follow‑up.
Participate in line try‑outs, sample preparation, report preparation, status updates, and submission for new model development.
Prepare design concepts, conduct simulation studies, and fabricate samples for delivery racks, trolleys, polyboxes, and other material‑handling equipment according to customer requirements.
Support line improvement and process improvement activities to improve productivity, quality, safety, and work efficiency.
About you
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool & Die, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CATIA.
Able to interpret and prepare engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Knowledge of jig and tooling fabrication, machining, setting, tuning, and commissioning.
Good problem‑solving, communication, coordination, and follow‑up skills.
Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with Technicians, customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
Experience in jig, tooling, fixture, or production equipment design is preferred.
Hands‑on experience in production line try‑out and process improvement is an advantage.
