Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Designer to translate product drawings into feasible designs. You will complete daily design tasks assigned by the Senior Designer and participate in customer DFM discussions to refine concepts.

You will prepare DFM for new products, review designs for tool making and production feasibility, and support the project team on both new and existing projects. CAD/CAM experience, some GD&T knowledge, and fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma / Degree holder.
• Experience in CAD / CAM is an advantage.
• Some GD&T knowledge.
• Able to communicate, read and write in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design work based on product drawing/diagram.

• Attend customers DFM meeting for product design discussion.

• To attend customers DFM meeting for product design discussion.
• To support Project Team on all new/existing project with the product design.
• To review customer product design; to ensure the product design is feasible for tool making and production processes. Provide counter proposal if needed.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To perform a Mould flow analysis
• Assist in tooling drawing
• Ad hoc task assigned by superior

GUIDANCE:

The Senior Designer or his appointed representative shall provide necessary guidance.
