Job summary

SDP Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a tooling engineer in Johor Bahru, Malaysia to design and develop molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures for new products. You will translate product requirements into high-performance tooling solutions and produce precise 2D/3D CAD drawings and documentation.

You will collaborate with project teams and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, drive optimization and troubleshooting, and support toolroom setup, mold trials, validation, and production launches in a

• Design and develop molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures for new products and tooling improvements.
• Convert product requirements into practical, high-performance tooling solutions.
• Create accurate 2D/3D CAD designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Project, Production, QA, Engineering, and R&D teams to deliver projects on time and to quality standards.
• Drive tooling optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with external toolmakers and suppliers on design feasibility and technical solutions.
• Support new toolroom setup projects, mold trials, validation activities, and production launches.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, ISO standards, and engineering best practices.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
