Job summary

Howdy Master Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a capable designer to prepare technical drawings and shop drawings for aluminium doors, windows, curtain walls, and façade systems. You will develop design concepts for customised furniture and interior fittings, translating client needs into practical, cost-effective designs.

You will also prepare quotations, material estimates, and basic cost calculations, coordinating with clients, contractors, suppliers, and production teams to ensure project

Qualifications

• Experience in aluminium doors/windows, curtain wall systems, facade design, or interior design.
• Proficient in preparing technical drawings and reading construction drawings.
• Portfolio of previous projects encouraged.
• Able to prepare quotations and estimate project costs.

Job description

This role involves preparing technical drawings, shop drawings, and design layouts for aluminium doors, windows, curtain walls, and facade systems, as well as developing design concepts for customised furniture, interior fittings, and renovation projects. You will translate client needs into practical and cost-effective designs, prepare quotations and material estimates, and coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and production teams.

Key responsibilities

Prepare technical drawings, shop drawings, and design layouts for aluminium doors, windows, curtain walls, and facade systems

Develop design concepts and drawings for full-house customised furniture, interior fittings, and renovation projects

Understand project requirements and translate clients' needs into practical and cost-effective designs

Prepare quotations, material estimates, and basic cost calculations based on project specifications and drawings

Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and the production team to ensure designs meet project requirements

Conduct site measurements and inspections when necessary

Revise drawings and designs according to client feedback and project requirements

Ensure designs comply with project specifications, technical requirements, and relevant industry standards

Provide technical support and resolve design-related issues during fabrication and installation

About you

Relevant experience in aluminium doors and windows, curtain wall systems, facade design, or interior design

Knowledge of renovation, aluminium fabrication, and customised full-house interior solutions

Proficient in preparing technical drawings and reading construction drawings

Familiar with design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other relevant design tools

Able to prepare quotations, calculate material requirements, and estimate project costs

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently
