Job summary

Alder & Velour Interior Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a creative Interior Designer with 3–5 years of relevant experience to support projects from concept to completion.

You will develop drawings, 3D models, and design solutions, coordinate with project team, and ensure compliance with codes, budgets, and timelines. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years' experience in interior design, construction, or property development.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator; MS Office.
• Knowledge of building trades and site inspections.
• Strong attention to detail and time management; meet deadlines.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to Project Director and manage interior design projects from concept to completion.
• Develop and update drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, and 3D renderings.
• Prepare CAD drawings and visual presentations using 2D/3D software.
• Conduct client meetings, present mood boards and design proposals, and manage revisions.
• Monitor site progress, supervise contractors, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure quality.
• Ensure designs comply with safety regulations and building requirements.
• Manage project planning, resolve issues, and coordinate delivery within deadlines and budgets.
• Develop project cost estimates or quotations aligned with the design and budget.

Job description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer with 3–5 years of relevant experience to join our team and support interior design projects from concept to completion. You will work closely with the Project Director and Senior Designers, developing drawings, 3D models, and design solutions while ensuring compliance with local building codes and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

Report directly to the Project Director and manage assigned interior design projects from concept to completion.

Develop and update detailed drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, and 3D renderings.

Interpret project briefs and develop design concepts that meet client requirements.

Prepare CAD drawings and visual presentations using 2D/3D software.

Conduct client meetings, present mood boards and design proposals, and manage design revisions.

Monitor site progress, supervise contractors, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure work meets approved designs and quality standards.

Ensure designs comply with applicable safety regulations, building requirements, and property management guidelines.

Manage project planning, resolve design and site issues, and coordinate delivery within agreed deadlines and budgets.

Develop project cost estimates or quotations aligned with the design requirements and client's budget.

About you

Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.

Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design software.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

At least 3‑5 years' experience in interior design, construction, or property development.

Knowledge of building trades (electrical, carpentry, plumbing) and site inspections.

Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin language skills would be an added advantage.

A positive attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to work well in a team.
