Job summary

MyRafee Design Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a capable Architect/Interior Designer to coordinate and produce AutoCAD drawings, manage submissions, and develop design documentation for residential, retail, and corporate projects.

The role requires 3–4 years of related experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp, strong detailing skills, and the ability to work with contractors on site, ensuring design intent is delivered accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Architecture/Interior Architecture or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3-4 years of working experience in the related field.
• Familiar with authority submission process and construction process.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minor supervision.
• Have good knowledge in interior fit out project management & technical detailing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage and produce AutoCAD drawings.
• Produce submission, construction, design and dimension drawings.
• Ensure designs and drawings comply with regulations and quality standards.
• Adhere to schedule given and assist project manager to supervise site activities.
• Prepare mood boards, material boards, colour schemes, and design presentations.
• Propose design solutions prioritising functionality, space efficiency and aesthetics.
• Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure design intent is delivered accurately.
• Attend site visits to monitor progress and verify workmanship aligns with design plans.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with site supervisors to resolve on-site design issues.

Assist project manager to supervise the activities on site

Prepare mood boards, material boards, colour schemes, and design presentations.

Propose design solutions that prioritise functionality, space efficiency, and aesthetics.

Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure design intent is delivered accurately.

Attend site visits to monitor progress and verify that workmanship aligns with design plans.

Conduct site inspections and coordinate with site supervisors to resolve on-site design issues.

Any others responsibilities and duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements : -

1. Candidate must posses at least Bachelor Degree in Architecture/Interior Architecture or equivalent qualification.

2. At least 3-4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field

3. Familiar with authority submission process and construction process

4. Required Skill(s): AutoCAD, MS Excel, Sketchup or other drafting and modeling software

6. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minor supervision

7. Have good knowledge in interior fit out project management & technical detailing

8. Applicant must possess own transport and willing to travel when required

9. Possess strong self-learning ability, teamwork skills, and result-oriented

10. Good organisational and communication abilities

11. Work effectively under pressure
