Job summary

DFStar Technology Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Penang is seeking a Design-for-Test (DFT) Engineer for an on-site role to develop and implement DFT design and pre-silicon validation solutions for semiconductor devices. You will collaborate with the SoC design team, generate validation test patterns, conduct simulations, analyze test coverage and troubleshoot DFT issues to optimize test efficiency.

Job description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Design-for-Test (DFT) Engineer located in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The DFT Engineer will work closely with the SoC design team & staff engineers to develop and implement effective DFT design & pre-silicon validation solutions for semiconductor devices or SOC.

About you

At least 3 years experience in design or validation with DFT features (SCAN, MBIST, Boundary SCAN, JTAG)

Ability to create, implement, and manage Test Cases for quality assurance

Expertise in SCAN/Array/Functional Testing methodologies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with relevant tools and technologies for DFT is desirable

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

Excellent team collaboration and communication abilities

Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and testing processes will be an advantage
