Job summary

Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Centre is seeking a diligent cook to join our hotel kitchen. You will prepare and present high-quality dishes, follow brand standards, and help delight guests across all dining occasions.

With at least 2 years in hospitality, you will work under the Head Chef, handle multiple orders, keep the station clean and stocked, and contribute to a seamless dining experience at Food Exchange.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have a commercial cookery qualification with at least 2 years in hospitality.
• Experience providing quality food and presentation of all dishes.
• Knowledge of food safety policies and procedures.
• Relevant food preparation and service knowledge.
• Ability to work unsupervised with excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Working on several orders at once.
• Constantly keeping the station clean and sanitized.
• Ensures the station is stocked with food and equipment.
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of output from station.
• Create food of the highest quality and to the standards.
• Communicate effectively with the team and seek guest feedback.
• Under Head Chef guidance, assists in preparation of food and kitchen operations.
