Job summary

LBS Bina Group Berhad seeks a data analytics leader to design, build, and govern Power BI dashboards that empower business insight. You will partner with stakeholders to translate needs into scalable analytics while maintaining data quality and a single source of truth.

You will lead a dashboard and analytics function, optimize data models, and apply best practices in BI, ETL, and data storytelling to drive data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI data modeling (DAX) and visualizations.
• Strong SQL or other data querying skills.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; PL-300 certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards

Ensure dashboards are accurate, scalable, and aligned with business needs

Optimize data models and performance for large datasets

Maintain a single source of truth across reporting layers

2. Business Partnering

Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand reporting needs

Translate business questions into analytical solutions

Drive adoption and usage of dashboards through training and enablement

Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams

3. Data Analysis & Insights

Perform deep-dive analysis to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities

Support forecasting and planning through data insights

Work with large, complex datasets to generate actionable recommendations

4. Governance & Best Practices

Establish data governance, definitions, and reporting standards

Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability

Document data models, logic, and dashboard usage

Lead the Dashboard & Analytics team

Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and automation

Stay updated with new tools, features, and best practices in analytics

Requirements

1. Technical Skills

Strong experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization best practices)

Proficient in Excel (advanced formulas, data manipulation)

Experience with SQL or other data querying tools

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes

2. Analytical & Business Skills

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Ability to translate data into clear business insights

Experience supporting business functions

3. Soft Skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proactive, ownership-driven, and detail-oriented

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 6 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, preferably in a managerial or lead capacity

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline

Certification in Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) is highly advantageous

Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, automation, or advanced analytics is a plus

Strong ability in data storytelling, with the capability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for business stakeholders

This role will be responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across business functions.
