Job summary

MAPEI Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MMSB) is seeking a motivated Customer Service Intern to gain practical experience in order processing and customer support within the chemicals manufacturing sector.

You will assist with checking orders, updating price references, entering orders into D365, reserving stock, and coordinating with Salesmen and departments to resolve issues. This internship offers hands-on exposure and a learning environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Customer Service, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Available for a minimum internship period of 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Check and process customer orders received from customers and Salesmen.
• Check new orders against prices or the latest price list.
• Enter customer orders into D365 and verify the unit of measurement (UOM) and stock availability.
• Reserve stock for customer collection or delivery.
• Coordinate with Salesmen, HOD, and Finance Department on orders that cannot be confirmed due to credit issues.
• Generate proforma invoices and release confirmed sales orders to the warehouse for collection or delivery.
• Follow up on released sales orders to ensure timely customer collection or delivery.
• Coordinate with Salesmen and customers on bulk orders and delivery arrangements.
• Follow up on pending sales orders due to stock availability or pending delivery instructions.
• Create Goods Return Orders in D365 and coordinate the return of goods to the Nilai Warehouse.
• Assist with other customer service and administrative tasks as assigned from time to time.

Check and process customer orders received from customers and Salesmen.

Check new orders against previous prices or the latest price list.

Enter customer orders into D365 and verify the unit of measurement (UOM) and stock availability.

Reserve stock for customer collection or delivery.

Coordinate with Salesmen, HOD, and Finance Department on orders that cannot be confirmed due to credit issues.

MMSB was incorporated on 4 January 1992. Business activities started in the form of trading with 6 employees. In 2001, facilities for production of powder solutions for installing ceramic tiles and stone materials were established in Rawang. Expansion to cover manufacturing of latex-based liquid products followed in 2008 and grinding aids for the cement industry in 2010. In April 2011, an automated, high-tech mixer was installed to cater to increasing demand in local and export markets.

With continuing rapid growth, further big-scale expansion was necessary and construction of a new ultra-modern plant with facilities for production, warehousing and laboratories started in Nilai in 2013. Completion was achieved in December 2014 and all operations are now running and in place.

The company now offers a broad range of MAPEI’s product lines for buildings, civil engineering works and underground construction including adhesives for ceramic & stone materials, waterproofing, roofing, sealing & jointing, concrete repairs & protection, structural strengthening, industrial flooring, concrete admixtures, as well as additives for cement production.
