Job summary

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency or willingness to learn CAD software and technical drawing interpretation.
- Excellent problem solving and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic knowledge of quality assurance and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with safety standards and workplace health and safety practices.
- Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in design and development using CAD and drawing standards.
- Support manufacturing and production processes, including machinery operation and monitoring.
- Conduct quality assurance tests on rubber products to meet specifications.
- Assist in maintenance and calibration of production equipment.
- Collect and analyse technical data from production processes.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Support R&D initiatives to improve product quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements.
- Observe and learn best practices in mechanical engineering and safety.

We are seeking talented individuals to join our team as Mechanical Engineering Interns at our facility in Perai, Penang. This is a contract-based internship opportunity designed to provide you with hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within a dynamic manufacturing environment . As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers and technicians, gaining practical insights into rubber product design, manufacturing processes, and quality control. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges whilst developing valuable professional skills in the mechanical engineering sector.
- Assist in the design and development using computer-aided design (CAD) software and technical drawing standards
- Support the manufacturing and production processes, including machinery operation, process monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Conduct quality assurance tests and inspections on rubber products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Participate in the maintenance and calibration of production equipment and testing apparatus
- Collect and analyse technical data related to production processes and product performance
- Support the preparation of technical reports and documentation
- Assist in research and development initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and manufacturing workflows
- Observe and learn best practices in mechanical engineering, manufacturing processes, and industrial safety
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, E&E, Environmental, Safety and Health or a related engineering discipline
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency or willingness to learn CAD software and technical drawing interpretation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Enthusiasm for learning and applying theoretical knowledge to practical applications
- Basic knowledge of quality assurance and testing methodologies is advantageous
- Familiarity with safety standards and workplace health and safety practices
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment
