Job summary

Bridgelink Logistics Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a logistics coordinator to manage day-to-day import/export shipments, prepare shipping documents, and ensure timely delivery. You will liaise with customers, forwarders, and sales teams to maintain high service levels.

The role requires a diploma/degree, 2–3 years in a similar role (fresh graduates may be considered), and strong English communication along with analytical and interpersonal skills. Long hours and pressure handling are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in any discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role preferred in shipping/logistics.
• Fresh graduates with relevant education may be considered.
• Able to communicate in English and other languages.
• Able to work long hours and under pressure.
• Good interpersonal and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day job progress according to SOPs.
• Coordinate sea and air import/export shipments and related docs.
• Communicate with customers, forwarders, carriers and agents to keep shipments on track.
• Ensure customer requirements are met and documentation is accurate and timely.
• Liaise with related departments to ensure task completion and work with sales for service quality.
• Prepare monthly sailing schedules and weekly cost sheets plus monthly P&L reports.
• Manage staff under you (if any) and handle payments/quotations as needed.
• Any other duties assigned by management.

Job Creation

• 1) Manage day-to-day job progress as per standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Prepare and follow up the necessary shipping documents.
• Ensure timely submission of related shipping documents to customers, forwarders, carriers and agents.
• Check and verify all shipping documents generated.
• Coordinate with customers, forwarders, carriers and agents to ensure the shipment delivery is on track and according to planned shipment.
• 2) Managing and coordinating mainly both (sea and air) import and export shipments.
• 3) Communicate constantly with customers, forwarders, carriers and overseas agents in order to ensure smooth shipments.
• 4) Ensure customer requirements are met, customers are up-to-date on their orders and documentation is accurate, precise and timely.
• 5) Liaise with related departments / divisions so as to ensure job completion.
• 6) Working closely with the sales team to ensure high quality of services.
• 7) Maintaining good relationship with the customers.
• 8) Prepare monthly sailing schedule.
• 9) Prepare weekly costing sheet and monthly profit and loss report.
• 10) Any other job that maybe assigned by the Management.

Other Responsibilities

• 1) Prepare sales quotations as per the standard schedule of rates.
• 2) To receive payments from customers, on behalf of the company.
• 3) Manage staff that report to you (if any).

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

• 1) Diploma / Degree in any discipline.

• 1) Minimum 2-3 year experience in a similar position, preferably in the shipping and logistics industry.
• Fresh graduates with relevant education requirement may be considered.
• (iii) Knowledge / Skill
• 1) Able to communicate in English and any other foreign languages.

• 4) Good interpersonal skills.
