Job summary

Salutary Avenue Manufacturing Services Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Costing Analyst to prepare and analyse product costing, including material, labour and overhead, and to calculate production costs for new and existing products.

You will monitor cost variances, liaise with Production, Purchasing, Engineering and Finance to obtain costing information, and prepare costing reports, quotations and cost breakdowns. Fresh graduates may apply; 1–2 years costing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting/finance/business or related field.
• 1–2 years costing experience preferred in manufacturing.
• Fresh graduates may be considered.
• Strong numeric, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

Job description

This role involves preparing and analysing product costing, including material, labour and overhead costs, and calculating production costs for new and existing products. You will analyse cost variances, monitor actual costs against budgets, and liaise with Production, Purchasing, Engineering and Finance Departments to obtain costing information. You will prepare costing reports, quotations and cost breakdowns, maintain costing records and databases, and ensure costing information is accurate and submitted within deadlines.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and analyse product costing, including material, labour and overhead costs

Calculate production costs and prepare cost estimates for new and existing products

Analyse cost variances and identify opportunities for cost reduction

Monitor and review actual costs against estimated budgets

Liaise with Production, Purchasing, Engineering and Finance Departments to obtain costing information

Prepare costing reports, quotations and cost breakdowns

Maintain and update costing records and databases

Ensure costing information is accurate and submitted within deadlines

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Manufacturing or a related field

Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in costing, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may also be considered

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis

Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented, responsible and able to work independently

Good communication and coordination skills
