Job summary

Euro SME Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a cost analyst to perform detailed product, service, and project costing. You will collaborate with finance, production, procurement and sales to gather data and provide actionable cost insights that support pricing and budgeting decisions.

The role requires a diploma or degree in accounting/finance or business administration, strong Excel and MS Office skills, and a proven eye for detail. Prior costing or financial analysis experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed cost analysis for products, services, and projects.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to management.
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts by providing accurate cost data and analysis.
• Support financial planning efforts with detailed cost information and variance analysis.
• Monitor costs throughout the production process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Identify and report variances and recommend corrective actions to maintain cost efficiency.
• Oversee the valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Ensure accurate costing and inventory management practices are followed.
• Provide cost data and analysis to support pricing strategies.
• Ensure products are competitively and profitably priced based on accurate cost calculations.
• Maintain and update costing systems and databases.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity for effective cost tracking and reporting.
• Work closely with finance, production, procurement, and sales departments to gather cost data.
• Streamline processes and improve overall cost efficiency.
• Ensure all costing activities comply with company policies, financial regulations, and accounting standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
