Job summary

Samaiden Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Selangor to support pre- and post-contract activities, including valuation, measurement, progress claims and final accounts. The role requires 4–6 years of experience in industrial or high-rise construction with strong costing, budgeting and coordination skills.

Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential. The candidate will work closely with project teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure cost control and timely project delivery

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Management, or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of working experience in industrial building and/or high-rise building construction.
• Experience in M&E or CQS field and main contractor exposure is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction costing, budgeting and cost control.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, construction teams and sub-contractors.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and assist in all fundamental Quantity Surveyor tasks, including valuation, measurement and quantity take-offs for pre-contract and post-contract stages.
• Prepare and manage progress claims, sub-contractor payments and final accounts.
• Support tender activities by preparing tender documents and sourcing quotations and pricing.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to gather information such as material pricing and commercial terms.
• Identify and engage suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain quotations.
• Conduct regular site visits for accurate valuation, measurement and material monitoring.
• Work with project managers to address issues leading to EOT, VO or changes in working conditions as per contract.
• Coordinate with contractors and site personnel to ensure project requirements are met.
• Prepare comprehensive contract documents and maintain accurate records.
• Carry out ad-hoc tasks as requested by team lead.

Job Requirement:-

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Management, or equivalent.
• Candidates with at least 4-6 years of working experience in industrial building and/or high-rise building construction.
• Preferbaly candidate has M&E or CQS field , main contractor experience.
• Knowledge of construction costing, budgeting, and cost control.
• Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, construction teams, and sub-contractors.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
