Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to manage tendering, cost estimation, and contract administration for multiple development projects. You will oversee BQ preparation, LOA drafting, and ensure financial controls align with project budgets.

Ideal candidates bring 5-7+ years of experience, strong knowledge of PAM/FIDIC/PWD contracts, and proficiency in Glodon, CostX, and MS Office. Membership with RISM or BQSM is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5-7+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of PAM, FIDIC, or PWD contract forms.
• Proficiency in Glodon, CostX and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review preliminary cost estimates, feasibility studies, and project budget allocations for new developments.
• Manage the entire tendering process, including preparation of Bill of Quantities (BQ), tender documents, tender evaluation reports, and recommendation of award to contractors/consultants.
• Draft, review, and finalize Letters of Award (LOA) and formal Contract Documents to protect the company's interests.
• Monitor project cash flow, track construction costs against the budget, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Evaluate and certify progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts.
• Coordinate with Project Teams, Architects, and Consultants to resolve contractual disputes and ensure smooth project progression.
