Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Contract Administrator to oversee pre- and post-contract activities for multiple projects in Malaysia. The role involves tendering, costing, and coordinating with project teams, consultants and clients.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience, strong communication skills and solid computer literacy, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask.

Qualifications

• Must possess Higher Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building Construction.
• At least 5 years working experience in Pre & Post contract administration, preferable with main contractor, contractor, developer.
• Independent, resourceful and able to work under minimal supervision.
• Able to work under tight timeline and ability to multi-tasking
• Applicants should possess good oral and written communication skills.
• Applicants must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the overall administration of contracts and sub-contract works, including preparation of progress reports, recommendation of payments, variation order certificates and final accounts documentation.
• Prepare tender documents and sub-contract agreements for sub-contractors.
• Prepare, compile and document material and labour costing from existing and potential suppliers, contractors, sub-contractors and specialist installers.
• Issue tenders/quotations; evaluate and provide recommendations to Contracts.
• Handle post-contract correspondence and coordinate with the project manager, site, consultants, and client.
• Resolve all contractual issues of the project undertaken.
