• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant building construction experience on high-rise, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
• Good understanding of M&E systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, and sanitary).
• Familiar with M&E drawings, shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and construction specs.
• Able to coordinate M&E works with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure smooth execution.

Responsibilities

• Assist superior in estimating manpower, supplies and materials to minimize wastage.
• Liaise with consultant and authorities on M&E works and with CS staff on building works related to M&E.
• Lead M&E subcontractors meetings and prepare minutes of meetings.
• Ensure all M&E works are carried out as per drawings and specifications.
• Recommend improvements and modifications in design and construction techniques as needed.
• Coordinate and obtain approvals for sample submissions and shop drawings; propose method statements.
• Maintain daily records of all site activities and assist in preparing reports for management review.
• Keep proper records of QA/inspection forms.
• Lead a team to provide temporary power and water to site and ensure smooth supply.
• Carry out other duties as instructed by Management.

This role will be hired under the construction arm of the OSK Group, namely OSK Construction Sdn Bhd.

OSK Construction is responsible for construction and project execution, mainly for OSK Group’s property development projects and selected external jobs.

We are currently seeking a M&E Coordinator to support our high-rise development project in Section 13, Shah Alam.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN :

To assist superior in estimating manpower requirements, supplies and materials needed and make requisition to ensure proper storage and minimize wastage.

To liaise with consultant and authorities on M&E works and with C&S staff on all building works in connection with M&E works.

To conduct and take lead in M&E subcontractors meeting and prepare minutes of meeting.

To ensure all M&E works are carried out as scheduled and in accordance to drawings and specifications.

To recommend improvement and modification in design and construction techniques where necessary

To coordinate and obtain approval for all sample submission and shop drawings from consultants. Propose method statements on job requirements.

To monitor and keep a daily record of all activities at the construction site and assist superior in preparation of reports for record and Management’s review including temporary M&E works.

To keep proper record of quality assurance form/ inspection form.

To lead a team of general workers to provide temporary power and water to project site, site office, centralized labor quarters (CLQ) and ensure the supply is smooth at all time.

To carry out any other duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

Degree or Diploma: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.

5+ years of relevant experience in building construction, with a explicit track record on high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.

Good understanding of M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, and sanitary services.

Familiar with M&E drawings, shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and construction specifications.

Able to coordinate M&E works with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Willing to be based at project site and travel as required.
