MIN CONCEPTS SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Contracts Executive to join our surveying and construction division in Sungai Buloh.

This contract role focuses on drafting, negotiating and administering contracts with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to protect the company’s interests. You will work with project teams to ensure PAM/IEM contract compliance, handle variations and change orders, and support tender processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of contracts management experience in construction or surveying.
• Strong knowledge of PAM and IEM construction contracts.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills; risk mitigation.
• Proficient in contract administration and change orders.
• Understanding of Malaysian construction practices and law.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management software.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications in construction contracts (e.g., RICS) advantageous.

About the role

MIN CONCEPTS SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Contracts Executive to join our surveying and construction division. This is a contract position based in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. As a Contracts Executive, you will play a crucial role in managing contractual matters, ensuring compliance, and facilitating smooth project delivery across our construction and surveying operations. This position is essential to maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and protecting the company's interests throughout all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, draft, review and negotiate construction and professional services contracts with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Manage contract administration tasks including contract filing, archiving, and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurately recorded
• Monitor contract compliance and ensure all parties adhere to contractual terms, conditions and deadlines
• Liaise with project teams, clients and external parties to resolve contractual disputes and variations
• Process contract amendments, variations and change orders in accordance with agreed procedures
• Maintain comprehensive contract registers and documentation systems
• Assist in claims management and the resolution of contractual disputes
• Support tender preparation by developing contract terms and conditions for new projects
• Provide contract-related advice and guidance to internal stakeholders and project managers
• Ensure compliance with relevant construction industry standards and legal requirements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in contracts management within the construction or surveying industry
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including standard forms such as PAM and IEM
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to identify and mitigate contractual risks
• Proficiency in contract administration and change order management
• Sound understanding of Malaysian construction industry practices and relevant legislation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Professional certifications in construction contracts (such as RICS or equivalent) would be advantageous
