Private Advertiser is seeking a competent Contract Manager to lead construction contract administration, manage commercial risks, and ensure project delivery in line with contractual requirements, budget, and quality standards.

The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience, a Diploma or Bachelor’s in QS/CM/CE/Contract Management, strong negotiation and leadership skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Mandarin or Hokkien is a plus; CIDB and ISO 9001:2015 knowledge is preferred.

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in construction contract administration or commercial management.
• Experience evaluating tender requirements, preparing cost proposals and managing contractual claims.

Responsabilités

• Manage construction contracts from award through project completion and final account settlement.
• Develop competitive commercial proposals, pricing strategies, cost estimates, and tender submissions.
• Review, prepare, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, letters of award and other commercial agreements.
• Monitor contractual obligations, project progress, payment claims, VO, EOT claims, and final accounts.
• Carry out monthly valuations for progress payment claims for work by Main Contractor, Nominated Sub-contractor and Nominated Supplier.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, project managers, and authorities.
• Ensure CIDB compliance, Malaysian construction laws, and related contractual conditions.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, budgets, and commercial performance.
• Lead and coordinate the contracts and commercial team to achieve objectives.

We are seeking a competent, experienced, and results-driven Contract Manager to join our growing construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction contracts, overseeing contractual obligations, controlling commercial risks, and ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, budget, quality standards, and applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

Manage and administer construction contracts from award through project completion and final account settlement.

Develop competitive commercial proposals, pricing strategies, cost estimates, and tender submissions to support new business opportunities.

Review, prepare, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts agreements, letter of award and other commercial agreements.

Monitor contractual obligations, project progress, payment claims, variation order (VO), extension of time (EOT) claims, and final accounts.

Carry out measurement and preparation of monthly valuation for progress payment claims for work done by Main Contractor, Nominated Sub-contractor and Nominated Supplier.

Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, project managers, and relevant authorities.

Ensure compliance with CIDB requirements, applicable Malaysian construction laws, and relevant contractual conditions.

Monitor project costs, cash flow, budgets, and commercial performance.

Ensure compliance with the company's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS), including documentation, procedures, audits, and continuous improvement.

Lead and coordinate the contracts and commercial team to achieve project and company objectives.

Job Requirements:

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Contract Management, or a related field.

Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in construction contract administration or commercial management, preferably in a main contractor environment.

Experience in evaluating tender requirements, preparing cost and pricing proposals and managing with contractual claims, variation orders, EOT claims, loss and expense claims, payment certification, and final account preparation.

Good understanding of Malaysian construction industry practices and CIDB requirements.

Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management principles and documentation requirements.

Strong negotiation, analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction contract documentation.

Mandarin or Hokkien proficiency will be added advantage.
