Job summary

MIDTOWN GROUP BERHAD in Petaling Jaya seeks a seasoned Contracts Leader to head the Contracts Department. You will oversee contract administration from pre-award to final account, draft and negotiate key contracts, and provide strategic risk guidance to protect project interests.

You will direct variation orders, cost controls, and compliance with regulations while coordinating with clients, consultants, and internal teams. Mentoring the department will be a key part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Proven experience in a leadership role managing contract/commercial teams.
• Strong knowledge of standard forms of contracts (e.g., PAM, FIDIC, JKR).
• Excellent understanding of Malaysian construction practices and regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in claims management and dispute resolution.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Professional membership (e.g., RICS, CIQS, BQSM) is an added advantage.
