Job summary

Klanggroup Development Sdn Bhd in Malaysia (Shah Alam) is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage budgets, BOQ, cost estimation and tender evaluation within project teams. The role requires coordination with consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure projects stay on track and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Quantity Surveying and exposure to procurement, with Mandarin communication skills preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Quantity Survey or related field is required.
• Procurement background is an added advantage (sourcing suppliers, wastage & usage analysis).
• Knowledge of Fire Protection, Alarm Detection, ACMV/HVAC, Lift Installation System, Sanitary Plumbing, Cold Water Plumbing, building ventilation systems is an asset.
• Mandarin language skills preferred to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.

Responsibilities

• Work out project budget, bill of quantities, cost estimation, evaluation and analysis.
• Maintain relevant documentation in orderly and proper manner.
• Liaise with Consultants, Contractors, Sub-contractors and Suppliers on QS matters.
• Source potential suppliers/sub-contractors to submit quotations per tender requirements.
• Understand types of contractual agreements and building procurement.
• Manage and coordinate project contractual matters, including progress claims and variation orders to stay within budget.
• Perform quantity take-off and re-measurement for final accounts as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities :

Responsible to work out project budget, bill of quantities, cost estimation, evaluation, analysis.

To liaise with the Consultants, Contractors, Sub-contractors and Suppliers on all matters pertaining to QS services.

To source for potential supplier / sub-contractor to submit quotation / proposal according to tender requirements.

Understanding types of contractual agreement & building procurement.

Able to manage and coordinate project related contractual matters, including progress claim and variation order to ensure within project budget.

Perform quantity take-off when required re-measurement for final account purposes.

Other duties and assignments are to be assigned by the management as and when necessary.

Requirements :

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Quantity Survey or equivalent.

Will be added advantage with procurement background (establish supplier sources and exploring new suppliers, wastage & usage analysis, material data analysis, monitor & control materials.

Knowledge in Fire Protection, Alarm Detection, ACMV/HVAC, Lift Installation System, Sanitary Plumbing, Cold Water Plumbing, building ventilation system will be added advantages.

Candidates fluent in Mandarin is preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
