Job summary

Themetech International (M) Sdn Bhd in Kulim High Tech Park, Kedah, Malaysia, is seeking a qualified professional to manage project budgets, contracts, and procurement. You will coordinate contractual matters, handle cost control, variation orders, and final accounts, with focus on accuracy and timely reporting.

Requirements include a degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in similar role.
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, English; Mandarin preferred.
• Willingness to travel outstation when required.
• Experience with project progress claims and cost control is a plus.
• Independent, responsible and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Budget, monitor and contract administration of projects.
• Coordinate all project related contractual matters.
• Manage pre/post contract management and procurement processes.
• Source building materials and monitor construction costs.
• Assess variation orders and finalize project final accounts.
• Measure and take-off quantities; prepare tender documents if required.
• Review contracts and identify high risk clauses for negotiation.
• Prepare project progress claims and verify subcontractors’ interim claims.

Job description

Responsible for budget, monitoring and contract administration of the project.

Manage and coordinate all project related contractual matter.

Responsible for pre and post contract management, sourcing of building materials, monitoring of constructions cost and procurement process, assessment of variation orders and finalize project final account.

Responsible for measurement and taking-off quantities.

Responsible for contract review. Identify important clauses / high risk clauses for negotiation and propose for change.

Evaluate and prepare the project progress claims and verify the sub-contractor's interim claims.

Ensure that tender documents, Letter of Award, BQ, contract documents, quotations submission, and any other relevant documents are well recorded and safe keeping.

Responsible for tender costing and preparation of tender documents for submission to clients on time.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Quantity Surveying or in Engineering field.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in similar working capacity, preferably candidates with experience of preparation of project progress claim;

Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.

Ability to travel outstation for work when necessary.

Good communication skill, proficient in AutoCAD or construction software will be added advantage.
