About the role

Konan Design Sdn Bhd is seeking a Contract Executive to join our team on a full-time basis based in Shah Alam, Selangor. This role is pivotal to our operations within the construction and surveying sector, where you will be responsible for managing contracts, ensuring compliance, and facilitating effective communication between all parties involved in our projects. The Contract Executive plays a strategic role in protecting the company's interests whilst maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants.

Key responsibilities

Managing contract documentation, including preparation, review, and maintenance of all contractual agreements

Monitoring contract performance and ensuring adherence to agreed terms and conditions

Processing contract variations and amendments with appropriate authorisation and documentation

Tracking contract milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion

Liaising between project teams, clients, and external parties to resolve contractual issues and disputes

Maintaining detailed contract records and preparing regular contract status reports

Assisting in risk identification and mitigation related to contract obligations

Supporting the procurement process and tendering activities as required

Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and industry standards

Coordinating with finance and accounts departments on contract-related financial matters

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Interior Design or a related field

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in contract management, preferably within the construction or surveying industry

Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including standard forms such as PAM, CIDB, or equivalent

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and contract management software

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Malay is an advantage

Attention to detail with strong organisational and time management abilities

Ability to multitask and manage multiple contracts simultaneously

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think analytically and commercially
