Job summary

EH Property Management Sdn Bhd is seeking a Contract Executive based in Kota Kinabalu to manage contract administration, budgets, and tender processes for construction projects. The role requires at least a degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Survey and 2-3 years of industry experience.

You will coordinate with consultants, assist in tender evaluations, and help finalize project accounts, with travel as needed to support site and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Quantity Surveying or Building Survey.
• 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willing to travel and have own transport.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract administration including contract preparation, project estimate and tender.
• Monitor and control construction costs and negotiate with contractors.
• Coordinate with consultants on tender documents, drawings and specifications.
• Assist in shortlisting and evaluating payment proposals from consultants/contractors.
• Attend client-consultant meetings and finalize accounts for the project contracts.

Contract Executive (Based In Kota Kinabalu)

• Responsible in the overall contract administration, including preparation of contract, project estimate and tender, monitoring and control of construction cost, negotiation with contractors and other relevant duties.
• Establish management’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies
• Preparation of budget for project including preparation of Bills of Quantities and Cost Plan.
• To assist in the coordination with consultants on the preparation of tender document, tender drawings, specifications for calling of tender / tender exercise.
• To assist in the shortlisting and evaluation of payment proposals / tender submitted by consultants / contractors.
• To assist in the tender interview with contractors and payment negotiation sessions with consultants.
• To assist in the verification of contractors’ claims and recommendation of payment amount for management’s approval.
• To assist in the verification and recommendation of payment for consultant and contractor’s claim.
• To assist in the finalization of accounts for project contract.
• To attend Client- Consultants Meeting as and when necessary for resolution of various contractual related issues.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Survey or equivalent.
• At least 2-3 year(s) of working experience in construction industry
• Able to work independently and good teamwork attitude.
• Optimistic, friendly, helpful, and proactive and take initiative to research issues, analytical and problem solving.
• Required skill(s): Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
• Proficient in written & spoken in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Willing to travel and possess own transport.
