Job summary

APG Geotechnics Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled Contract Executive with a strong background in quantity surveying and contract administration.

The role involves preparing tender and contract documents, value engineering, and closeout activities for geotechnical and foundation projects across Malaysia. The candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience, be proficient with PAM and FIDIC contracts, and be willing to travel to Sabah and Sarawak as project requirements dictate.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Technology.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in contract administration on foundation/building projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard contract forms (PAM, FIDIC).
• Willing to travel to Sabah and Sarawak as required.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compile tender and contract documents.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and ensure accurate project measurements.

• Prepare progress claims for submission to clients or main contractors.
• Verify subcontractors' claims and prepare valuation certificates.

• Assist in managing contractual claims and resolving disputes.
• Participate in contract closeout including inspections and warranty reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Job description

Carry out quantity take-offs and ensure accurate project measurements.

Attend site valuations, project meetings, and related discussions.

Prepare progress claims for submission to clients and /or main contractors.

Verify subcontractors' claims and prepare valuation certificates.

Assist in contract negotiations and settlement.

Prepare variation orders, final accounts, cost reports, and other contract-related reports.

Liaise with clients' Quantity Surveyors and contract personnel.

Conduct contract reviews and provide contract-related analysis.

Assist in managing contractual claims and resolving disputes.

Assist in the evaluation of subcontractors and suppliers performance.

Participate in contract closeout, including final inspections, warranty reviews, and settlement of outstanding payments.

Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements :

Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, or an equivalent qualification.

Minimum5 years of relevant experiencein contract administration, preferably in foundation or building projects.

Good knowledge ofPAM, FIDIC, and other standard forms of construction contracts.

Knowledge of building project pricing inSabah and Sarawakwill be an added advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

Able to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

Willing to travel outstation, includingSabah and Sarawak, based on project requirements.
