We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence initiatives, improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance maintenance efficiency through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. This role requires close collaboration with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions that support business objectives.
Key responsibilities
Lead continuous improvement projects (PEAK) focused on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and cost optimization.
Analyze maintenance data and identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities to reduce machine breakdowns and downtime.
Drive implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and Six Sigma initiatives.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for recurring equipment issues.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance costs.
Develop and standardize maintenance procedures, work instructions, and best practices.
Facilitate continuous improvement workshops and employee engagement activities.
Monitor project progress, quantify savings, and present improvement results to management.
Support automation and digitalization initiatives within the maintenance function.
Manage (SEAL), maintenance department's Health and Safety matters in line with Corporate's guidelines.
About you
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance engineering, continuous improvement, or operational excellence roles.
Experience in rubber glove manufacturing or processing industries is an added advantage.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, CMMS, or maintenance management systems.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Green Belt or equivalent Continuous Improvement certification is an advantage.
