Job summary

TikTok Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Content Safety Specialist to support the Safety Model Operations team. You will contribute to building and refining automated safety models and oversee risk assessments across UGC/PGC content.

You will translate policies into actionable review guidelines, monitor content risk indicators, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and help optimize review workflows using data analysis tools like Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in journalism, sociology, or related fields.
• Possess a keen sense of content safety and online awareness, able to accurately identify implicit risks and understand policies and rules.
• Strong pattern summarization abilities, with proficiency in content review, public opinion monitoring, and common tools like Excel.
• Flexible thinking, strong sense of responsibility, and good cross-department communication and coordination skills, as well as emergency response capabilities.
• Strong learning ability and high comprehension, able to quickly adapt to changes in regulatory policies and the content ecosystem of the platform.
• Mandarin proficiency is also required, as it is mandatory for daily liaison with the China team in the China market and the accurate communication of business information.

Responsibilities

• Interpret regulations, community standards, and platform policies, converting them into actionable guidelines. Build a case database to ensure consistent judgments across different scenarios.
• Monitor the content ecosystem of user-generated content (UGC) and producer-generated content (PGC), proactively identifying explicit and implicit content risks, as well as borderline content risks, and extracting risk characteristics.
• Handle emergent content safety risk events, quickly defining the issues and prioritizing actions, promoting cross-department collaboration to complete the resolution loop and optimize the review process.
• Produce risk assessment reports to provide decision support for optimizing platform rules and review strategies.
• Proficient in using content review tools, public opinion monitoring systems, and data analysis tools, collaborating with operations, safety product, and other teams to implement risk prevention strategies.
