Job summary

Daikin Malaysia Sales & Service Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a proactive Pre-Sales Engineer to identify opportunities in the air conditioning market and provide technical advisory, offering effective unitary and VRV solutions.

The role requires an Engineering degree (Mech/Chem/E&E), strong English and Bahasa Malaysia, self-motivation, and willingness to travel to sites; training will be provided for fresh graduates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or E&E Engineering.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willing to travel to sites frequently; own transport.

Responsibilities

• Identify and capitalize air conditioning opportunities in the market.
• Establish strong networking with existing and potential clients and proactively expand the client base.
• Provide pre-sales technical advisory services.
• Provide effective air conditioning solutions focusing on unitary range & VRV.
• Budgetary on air conditioning proposals.
• Work with M&E consultants, developers and contractors on technical specs.

Job description

• Able to identify & capitalize air conditioning business opportunity in market.
• Establish strong networking with existing potential clients & proactively expand potential client base.
• Provides pre-sales technical advisory services.
• Provide effective air conditioning solution.
• Budgetary on air conditioning proposal.
• Provide Air Conditioning technical specification requirements
• Independently lead and resolve pre-sales assignments in different level of customer demands.
• Able to connect & communicate with internal departments in solving potential customers’ problem.
• Closely monitor, review, analyze customer’s feedback and pro-actively attend to customers.
• Provide effective air conditioning solution focusing on unitary range & VRV.
• Work closely with M&E Consultants, Developers, Contractors on technical specs requirements.
• Pre and post technical sales solutions action.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum qualification of a Degree in Mechanical / Chemical / E&E Engineering studies or a related field.
• Highly self-motivated, solution provider, outgoing and sporting personality.
• Communicate well in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Possess own transport (This position required to travel to sites frequently).

Nice to Have Requirements:

• Minimum one (1) year of relevant working experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
• Preferably possess knowledge in air conditioning & have good presentation skill.
• Added advantage if with CAD drawing knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
