Job summary

NAGA CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking a Purchasing & Procurement Executive to source and purchase construction materials, equipment, tools and services. You will obtain quotations, issue POs, and coordinate with project teams to ensure timely deliveries.

Ideal candidates hold a diploma or degree in procurement or related fields with 2–4 years of procurement experience in construction. English and Bahasa Malaysia fluency is required; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Procurement, SCM, QS, Business Admin, Construction Management or related fields.
• 2–4 years of procurement experience, preferably in construction.
• Experience with construction material suppliers and subcontractors is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, tools and services according to project requirements.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations for management approval.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on orders, deliveries and outstanding purchases.
• Source new suppliers and maintain good relationships with existing suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery arrangements to achieve competitive costs.
• Coordinate with Project, Site, QS, Contract and Accounts teams on purchasing requirements.
• Monitor material costs, delivery schedules and potential supply issues.
• Maintain proper procurement records, quotations, POs, delivery orders and invoices.
• Assist the Procurement Manager with daily procurement activities and other related duties.
