Job summary

Verona Bake (M) Sdn Bhd is hiring at Aeon Bukit Indah for a bakery counter role. You will weigh, price, package baked goods and process payments, while maintaining inventory and display quality. You’ll handle customer inquiries and relay feedback to the Baker.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays, with focus on food safety, hygiene, and multilingual communication to serve a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM certificate or equivalent.
• Experience serving customers in bakery environment preferred.
• Proficient in weighing, pricing, packaging, and processing payments for baked goods.
• Knowledge of food and health industry regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
• Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Weighing, pricing, and packaging purchased items, as well as processing payments.
• Managing the baking ingredients inventory and requesting the purchase of stock.
• Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.
• Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.
• Reporting low baked goods stock to the Baker in a timely manner.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter and performing other duties on request.
• Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.
• Managing customer complaints and relaying them to the Baker.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
